Window
Treatments - Decorative Finials, Curtain Rods and
Decorator Fabric Panels
Have
you noticed decorative finials, curtain rods and
fabric panels are available all over the place?
All kinds of colors, decorator prints, different style
tabs... They are inexpensive and offer great
window treatments and decorating opportunities all over
the house!

Take
a look at these designer tricks. An inexpensive
fabric drapery panel is hung at the ceiling on a bare
wood rod. The fabric panel hangs at one end of the
bathtub from the ceiling to the floor. It hides
the shower curtain when opened. The decorator
kicker idea is the accent fabric on the panel. The
accent fabric has been buttoned to this fabric panel!
Big Looks for Little Cash.
Several
fabric panels can be pulled to drape and cover whole
windows. You
can get the look of a whole draped window by framing
each side of the window with one fabric panel on each
side then using a disappearing window blind for night
privacy.

Fun
Wire Decorating Project
Do
you like a fun zany look? Take your coil of
utility wire or your colored wire and wind it around a broom handle
stacking the coils pretty tight. Go about
twenty-four inches. Cut your wire. Slide it
off. Take about two inches at one end of your
coiled wire and slide it on one end of your copper tube
rod leaving about eight inches at the end. Now,
take the rest of it and wrap it loosely around the end
of the rod. About six inches. Then slide the last
two inches on the rod end.
Fluff
the coiled wire wrapped loosely around the rod.
Repeat on the other end. Hang your rod.
P.S.
You may need to put your drapery panels on before you
put your second finial on the rod.
