You
don't have to use Ralph Lauren paint, a bargain brand will
work. The darker the color the more interesting it may
be with fading and modeling with lots of direct light.
Have
you ever thought about painting an accent wall out side on
your block wall fence?
Paint one side wall from the back corner up the wall
all the way to the front gate. This will accent your backyard landscape and give
you a color break and interest as you look out
the windows on the side of the house.
Paint the
back wall too...maybe in a contrasting color to the side
wall. If you like one painted garden accent wall you
may paint all of them!
Even different a different color from the side wall
!#X!

Decide
on the right color. Something
that will accent inside as well as outside.
Paint right over the block wall.
The rectangular pattern is a welcome texture next to
all the stucco walls.
You
may need two coats to cover. As
the sun hits it, the wall becomes more interesting and the
color looks modeled.
Save some money, buy inexpensive paint, not top of
the line, Ralph Lauren paint or Martha Stewart paint for this project.
The
color of your plants and garden accessories and yard
art will pop against your
new wall. Your
own landscape paradise will be defined against the similar monotonous
colors of the surrounding walls and houses so often found in
suburban neighborhoods..
Your Garden Accent Fence -
Your BIG Cover Up!
Are
you tired of looking at that old garage or wood pile from
the back porch? Put
up a wood fence to block the mess. Then
paint it a bright color and plant your favorite perennials
in front of it. This can be fun and functional
at the same time!
Add
a few yard art sticks, some garden statuary or an oblisque.
Remember light colors (hues)
reflect lots of light. A deep color usually works
best. Example: shrimp is too light; a darker
terra cotta is better.
