Building
your own furniture is fun.
Our projects projects are
easy and require very little skill or big tools.
Grab your jig saw, palm sander, power drill/screwdriver,
tape measure and safety glasses. We're ready to
go.
Do you want results?
That's what counts.. Not the method you
got there. (We drive the master wood crafter
craaazy around here!) Get a kick out what you are
making. Have fun doing it.
If you see something that
looks pretty simple. It probably is. Look it
over and under. Sketch it. Take some
measurements. Write a few notes of what it is made of
angles, etc..
Go home see if you have
the supplies...Remember the project on garage sale
days...you may find the supplies or parts that can be
used. Something you find at the sale may be
your inspiration. Just do it!

See something you like in
a magazine? Let it inspire you. Make one that fits
your style.
A picture of a two tier plate shelf
painted white, smaller than this one in a
decorating magazine inspired this shelf. .......Click
here for more details.
The
projects at Art Objects For The Home are for you
to make. They are also here to inspire you to do
things you thought you couldn't. To give you
things you didn't have before.
Every little project you
try is always a success. It may turn out exactly
how you imagined. Some of the time you will just
go with the project, be inspired along the way and have
a surprise result. Sometimes awesome, clever, a
major disaster, and always a good laugh or smile of
satisfaction.

Have you ever seen those
little stools with the short round legs and oval
tops? That's what inspired this Bench
Project.
There was a length of wood in a pile the
previous owner of our home had left. It was
needing to be a part of something.....Our closet rod
broke.....Click here for supplies
and instructions.
Do you need a planting
table? Maybe a sofa table?
A shorter coffee
table shaped like this one with a glass top inspired this planting table design. You could follow the
easy instructions on this one to make a go anywhere
table. Use a glass or stone top or the wood one in
the instructions. Click
here for those easy instructions!
